True love's first kiss, I thought I had it all
But now a mess, I thought I had it all
Our path seemed clear, together without doubt
Yet now amiss, I thought I had it all
You said that we would never part again
All lies from the beginning, had it all?
You're right, I'm no good for you anymore
Our love was fake and empty, had it all?
And you're no angel to me either way
now gone and lost without trace, had it all?
So now I say goodbye, farewell to you
To say the truth we never had it all

Everything was lost, everything around
All is stripped away, stripped bare to the bone
Everything was lost, so now I have found
All the riches, all the gold that I was crowned
All the power, All the glory I own
Everything was lost, everything around
I stand here silent humble on the ground
though losing everything, the light still shone
Everything was lost, so now I have found
I used to be mourning like a lost hound
or like a person fallen from the throne
Everything was lost, everything around
But God was there, to astound, to unbound
follow his footsteps through the way he's shown
Everything was lost, so now I have found
and now I realize that I am sound
Focus on my mind and body to hone
Everything was lost, everything around
Everything was lost, so now I have found
All is stripped away, stripped bare to the bone
Everything was lost, so now I have found
All the riches, all the gold that I was crowned

Concrete Poem
a sprout comes
out and gives the world a shout.
Still small and without route yet brave and stout.
Still meek and weak but passionate to seek. Unique
and mystique as it seems to speak. With the ground
around keeping safe and sound. Newfound
sound of life, simple yet
profound
I smile
a wide
smile
looking
for a
while
At the new isle; a pile of new lifestyle. It breaks through
the mold although no one told. Gone with the stone
cold old and now remold. Silent, I stand and
look around the land and admire the grass
land, oh so grand.

Elegy to summer vacation
As time goes by my smile turns into frown
Just like how the green grass turns into brown
The leaves on trees start falling to the ground
and my heart feels as if it were unsound
Goodbye to times we ran around to play
Hello to school and studying all day
Goodbye to things that were so loving
Hello to work and all the suffering
To me you were the greatest gift of all
You have helped me enjoy life, after all
The moments of summer are rich as gold
the joyous moments that never get old
But as the summer slowly comes to end
I know in my heart this is not the end
However long another year may seem
There is another summer we can dream
The moments of summer are rich as gold
the joyous moments that never get old
But as the summer slowly comes to end
I know in my heart this is not the end
However long another year may seem
There is another summer we can dream

Ode to Summer Vacation
Can you hear the green leaves hanging on trees
or the splashing of clear blue water seas
The children shouting chanting loud in joy
And I myself become a little boy
Fling off your backpack that has weighed you down
and lets play all day till the sun goes down
Forget about your homework for just once
and just enjoy the feeling of joyance
As the day ends and the sky turns amber
I look back and wish it lasts forever
Oh summer vacation I wish you well
and hope that we shall never say farewell
or the splashing of clear blue water seas
The children shouting chanting loud in joy
And I myself become a little boy
Fling off your backpack that has weighed you down
and lets play all day till the sun goes down
Forget about your homework for just once
and just enjoy the feeling of joyance
As the day ends and the sky turns amber
I look back and wish it lasts forever
Oh summer vacation I wish you well
and hope that we shall never say farewell

The Christmas Balad
Once upon a time in a quiet town
During midnight when everything slows down
A young child waits for Santa to come down
Touch down to the ground in this small hometown
Wishing for Christmas to come haste he lay
Santa Claus please come to town come today
Come to town riding on your reindeer sleigh
Laughing Ho Ho Ho spreading love, I pray
At that moment he heard the Ho Ho Ho
The jolly laughter ringing cross the snow
A sleigh full of presents to give and go
Happiness and love spread through town, Bravo!
And so the little child’s wish had come true
Presents left for everyone, me and you
And the town’s spirit rising up a new
Santa flew away in the midnight blue
Sonnet
I walk into my deepest darkest room
forgotten lost and ancient is the place
the atmosphere still dense and full of gloom
a child once striving for a warm embrace
If you have thought of life as something sweet
just wait and look then soon you'll realize
like razor blade apples on trick or treat
You'll take a bite and know it’s full of lies
And now I am here in a wretched state
No place to go I am a helpless man
with only memories to contemplate
the time has passed and nothing that I can
but may I ask you one favor in mind
when you see a lost lonely child be kind

Shakespearean sonnet & modern sonnet
sonnet 3
Look in thy glass and tell the face thou viewest
Now is the time that face should form another;
Whose fresh repair if now thou not renewest,
Thou dost beguile the world, unbless some mother.
For where is she so fair whose uneared womb
Disdains the tillage of thy husbandry?
Or who is he so fond will be the tomb
Of his self-love, to stop posterity?
Thou art thy mother's glass and she in thee
Calls back the lovely April of her prime;
So thou through windows of thine age shalt see,
Despite of wrinkles, this thy golden time.
But if thou live, remembered not to be,
Die single and thine image dies with thee.

Look in thy glass and tell the face thou viewest
Now is the time that face should form another;
Whose fresh repair if now thou not renewest,
Thou dost beguile the world, unbless some mother.
For where is she so fair whose uneared womb
Disdains the tillage of thy husbandry?
Or who is he so fond will be the tomb
Of his self-love, to stop posterity?
Thou art thy mother's glass and she in thee
Calls back the lovely April of her prime;
So thou through windows of thine age shalt see,
Despite of wrinkles, this thy golden time.
But if thou live, remembered not to be,
Die single and thine image dies with thee.
Modern Sonnet: Inextricably Caught
(by firelioness)
Morning comes, yet no sweet melody greets the ear
The cheerful lark sings in a world of the distant past
Instead, the whoosh of cars and an occasional honking blast
form the only cacophony one can hear
Morning comes, yet no dazzling sunrise lights the dull pier
Instead, the waves of smoky smog work fast
Smothering warm rays and shrouding the city in a dark cast
Filling the water with poison, stealing its clarity and sheer
Nature stands no chance against its industrial foe
Its oceans may flood and its winds may blow
But such calamities will matter not
when toxic wastes make the sea inhospitable
and deleterious fumes render the air irrespirable
For if nature loses, mankind will be the one inextricably caught
Morning comes, yet no sweet melody greets the ear
The cheerful lark sings in a world of the distant past
Instead, the whoosh of cars and an occasional honking blast
form the only cacophony one can hear
Morning comes, yet no dazzling sunrise lights the dull pier
Instead, the waves of smoky smog work fast
Smothering warm rays and shrouding the city in a dark cast

Blank Verse
People often say to me “Love is pain”
But for me I believe that love is joy
Love is something that gives us happiness
A sense of happiness hard to explain
Love is like a gift ready to unwrap
It makes us wonder what treats are inside
Sharing love is just like sharing laughter
They say “laugh and the whole world laughs with you”
Just like “Love and the whole world loves with you”
Love is found everyday all around us

Life
The divine gift bestowed by mother nature
A blessing from the heavens and earth
we are all one together
together in the core
Then why do we occupy our selves and time
and surround ourselves with meaningless junk?
Take a step back and you will see
what are the things that really matter
Turn off your cellphone and your computer screen
turn off the tv and turn down the beats
Turn off the radio playing so loud
and get up and look around
Look at your friends and family
Look at the scenery outside
Look into your heart and see
what life really means
The divine gift bestowed by mother nature
A blessing from the heavens and earth
we are all one together
together in the core
Then why do we occupy our selves and time
and surround ourselves with meaningless junk?
Take a step back and you will see
what are the things that really matter
Turn off your cellphone and your computer screen
turn off the tv and turn down the beats
Turn off the radio playing so loud
and get up and look around
Look at your friends and family
Look at the scenery outside
Look into your heart and see
what life really means

Letter
I've been trying to
To write this letter for you
But words just can't do
Remembrance
Sometimes, I think back
Back to the days, my childhood
Time flies, doesn't it?
